[Jason-1 Geodetic Orbit] IGDR products available

Categoría: Operational news

We are now pleased to announce that Jason-1 IGDR products are available for dissemination.

As you know, the Jason-1 mission on its new geodetic orbit was resumed on May 7, 2012 (see last operational news). OSDR products have already been distributed to users but offline products have been retained.

We are now pleased to announce that Jason-1 IGDR products are available for dissemination.

Before authorizing their dissemination, we have performed a lot of controls, calval analysis and cross-calibrations in order to guarantee the quality of new IGDR products. During the control, we have discovered some problems in the processing chains that have required updates. Now everything is solved and the SSH crossover statistics are close to the performance on the old reference orbit.
Meanwhile, this period has been useful to prepare a detailed technical note about the charateristics and objectives of the new orbit and FAQ (see pdf file and list of cycles and passes) and impacts on new products (see pdf file).

We hope to serve you with quality products for a long time,

Best regards,

The Jason-1 Project Team
