Envisat: six years!

Envisat reaches its sixth years in orbit.

The Envisat mission is a success, with a great number of users and a variety of uses. The Envisat satellite is in good health, despite few anomalies. The need of Envisat data is stronger than ever for a very large community of users, ranging from scientists in all fields of Earth Science to many operational applications, worldwide. The presence of the "old" ERS-2 close to Envisat is also an asset.
