FTP

Aviso FTP (ftp.aviso.oceanobs.com) is both an anonymous and an authenticated FTP. All Ssalto/Duacs product users need an account on FTP, whether for RT/NRT  or for DT data, for along-track and gridded products.

Please, subscribe to get access to Ssalto/Duacs products by filling the registration form on: http://www.aviso.oceanobs.com/en/data/registration-form/index.html.

If you do not enter the login/password, you will access only the anonymous FTP, where you will find few data, only planned for tests.
 
With this authenticated FTP account, you directly access the Ssalto/Duacs folders (/donnees/ftpsedr/DUACS/), sorted by areas: global/ and regional-***/.
Access restrictions are applied on folders.  Your account gives you an access to a given list of altimetry data. Thus, the folders you're not subscribed to are empty.
For each area, rt/ contains real-time data, nrt/ contains near-real time data and dt/ contains delayed-time data.  In lower folders, you have access to gridded products (msla/ or madt/, including the geostrophic velocities in the uv/ directories). Nomenclature, temporal avaibility, product generation or corrections applied can be retrieved in the Ssalto/Duacs User Handbook.

Please try to limit simultaneous accesses to one or two, in order to leave bandwidth for others.
